What is the OMA?
Established in 1995, the Oregon Mortgage Association, formerly known as the OAMP (Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals), is the primary residential mortgage association covering the entire state of Oregon. OMA represents hundreds of mortgage companies and thousands of mortgage professionals throughout the state, including every platform of residential mortgage banking and brokering available in the primary market. The association exists to represent, protect, and improve the quality of mortgage services in Oregon through awareness and communication.
The strength and value of any association comes in numbers. We rely on our members to support the efforts of the association by generously donating their time and money. Only through the efforts of local industry leaders and volunteers are we able to make a positive difference in the future of our careers together. With competition and politics aside, the association is where mortgage professionals come together for productive events, meetings, and continuing education.
Power is in numbers and without a voice one cannot be heard. The OMA Board of Directors continues to rely on the voice of our members and is consistently evolving. Our industry requires healthy diversity, renewal, and balance between our board members in order to maximize productivity. It's vital that those in the industry support their state associations and get involved. The OMA is to be molded by all members, not just a few. If you are in the industry and not a member, become a member today and make a difference!
Our Mission Statement
OMA is committed to market intelligence and ethics of all mortgage and real estate professionals. Our focus is on serving our industry by financial education, legislation and community enrichment.
